It's seen better days, but this petite church (

) is a prized example of baroque
architecture. The first church built by the great 17th-century architect Francesco Bor-
romini, it incorporates many of his trademark touches - a facade of convex and concave
surfaces, the use of hidden windows to stream light onto decorative features and a com-
plex elliptical plan to exploit the limited space.
