In-Depth Information
Rental Accommodation
For longer stays, renting an apartment might well work out cheaper than an extended hotel
sojourn. Bank on spending about €900 per month for a studio apartment or a small one-
bedroom place. For longer-term stays, you will probably have to pay bills plus a con-
dominium charge for building maintenance. A room in a shared apartment will cost from
€600 per month, plus bills. You'll usually be asked to pay a deposit equal to one or two
months' rent and the first month in advance.
Accommodation Websites
The Comune di Roma's tourist information line ( 06 06 08; www.060608.it ; 9am-9pm ) has an ex-
tensive list of B&Bs, rentals and hotels. Prices are quoted for many places but are not al-
ways up to date.
