Tonino's might be defiantly low-key with its simple wooden tables and yellowing pic-
tures, but it's almost always packed. Don't expect silver service, or even a menu, just
straight-up Roman staples and honest local wine.

Tiny place, grumpy staff, natural
colours - this pocket-size place near the Pantheon has all the hallmarks of a good Roman
gelateria. The cream flavours are particularly good as is the house speciality,

a delicious coffee and zabaglione creation.
