rooms and a big lounge with a leather sofa. It's 2 miles north of the ferry terminal.

tage has a fantastic location at the western end of the island, looking out over the Atlantic
towards the sunset; it can sleep up to eight people in five bedrooms. The owners are out-

also a restaurant (mains £9-15; dinner Wed-Sat Easter-Oct, plus Tue Jul & Aug) in a
sunny conservatory with sea views.

wee cafe with a view over sheep-scattered fields, and a menu of fresh sandwiches, tortilla

There's a bank (without ATM), post office and Co-op supermarket ( 8am-8pm Mon-
Fri, 8am-6pm Sat, noon-6pm Sun) in Scarinish, the main village, 0.5 miles south of the
ferry pier. You can get cash back with debit-card purchases at the Co-op.
