RIVERSIDE MUSEUM
1 Glasgow's rapidly developing waterfront has been graced with a magnificent new
home for the collections of the former Museum of Transport. Designed by Iraqi archi-
tect Zaha Hadid, the Riverside Museum is an extraordinary building with a sinuous metal-
lic roof intended to evoke a series of waves, symbolising the city's historic link with ship-
building. The three-masted sailing ship Glenlee , built in 1896, is now moored outside the
museum. ( Click here )
