duce where possible. It covers a few bases with chicken, beef and seafood dishes on offer

Getting There & Away
Kirkcudbright is 28 miles southwest of Dumfries. Buses run hourly to Dumfries (one
hour) via either Castle Douglas or Dalbeattie. Change at Gatehouse of Fleet for Stranraer.
Gatehouse of Fleet

Gatehouse of Fleet is an attractive little town stretched along a sloping main street, in the
middle of which sits an unusual castellated clock tower. The town lies on the banks of the
Water of Fleet, off the beaten track, and is surrounded by partly wooded hills.
