Who said you had to get out of town for those Scottish Baronial mansions, turrets and
all? Right opposite the cathedral, this handy spot has eight individual rooms above an at-
tractive bar and restaurant. The corner rooms - No 7 is the best - offer sumptuous beds
and great views of St Mungo's and the Necropolis. Free private parking is a rarity in Glas-
gow too. The only catch is that the less mobile might struggle with the steep spiral stairs.

This uni opens its halls of residence to tourists over
summer. The Campus Village, opposite Glasgow Cathedral, offers B&B accommodation
in single rooms (there may be a few doubles available on request) at good prices. Cheaper,
self-catering prices are also available.
