Cardwell Forest Drive
From the town centre, this scenic 26km round trip through the national park is chockas
with lookouts, walking tracks and picnic areas signposted along the way. There are super
swimming opportunities at Attie Creek Falls , as well as the aptly named Spa Pool , where you
can sit in a rock hollow as water gushes over you.
Cardwell's visitor centre has brochures detailing other walking trails and swimming
holes in the park.

Historic Cardwell Post Office & Telegraph Station
(53 Victoria St; 10am-1pm Mon-Fri, 9am-noon Sat) Check out the original postal room and
old telephone exchange at this wooden building (built in 1870), which has survived cyc-
lones and termites.

Girringun Aboriginal Art Centre
