Not everyone has the time or the money to sail, and must rely on the faster catamarans to
whisk them around the islands on a day trip.
Most day trips include activities such as snorkelling or boom-netting with scuba diving
as an optional extra. Most of the cruise operators run out of Abel Point Marina but those
that run from Shute Harbour do coach pick-ups from Airlie Beach and Cannonvale. You
can take a public bus to Shute Harbour.
Following are some of the day trips on offer; bookings can be made at any Airlie Beach

CRUISE
Cruise Whitsundays

as operating as a ferry, Cruise Whitsundays offers trips to Hardy Reef, Whitehaven Beach
and various islands including Daydream and Long. Or you can grab a daily Island Hopper
pass (adult/child $120/59) and make your own itinerary. It also operates a popular day trip
aboard the Camira (adult/child $189/99 including lunch and all drinks), a catamaran that
takes in Whitehaven Beach.

Voyager 4 Island Cruise

kelling at Hook Island, beachcombing and swimming at Whitehaven Beach, and checking
out Daydream Island. Add a scenic flight for $60.
Ecojet Safari

groves and marine life of the northern Whitsundays on these three-hour, small-group jet-
ski safaris.
