it's the only hostel in town and has a central location.

One of Mackay's
better midrange options, the Coral Sands boasts ultra-friendly management and large
rooms in a central location. It's a bit tropi-kitsch, but with the river, shops, pubs and cafes
so close to your doorstep, you won't care.

This is a good-value beachside resort set amid tropical gardens. The cool, shady set-
ting has two pools, barbecue areas, half-court tennis and the occasional possum drop-in.
The village is located 4km southeast of the town centre (take Gordon to Goldsmith to
Bridge).

luxury hotel down at the peaceful marina precinct has an excellent on-site restaurant, kit-
