HOSTEL $
Coral Inn Flashpackers
( 07-4939 2925; www.flashpackers.net.au ; 14 Maple St; dm $29, d from $90; ) Reef-bright
colours and vibrant communal spaces make Coral Inn a difficult place to leave. All rooms
have en suites, and there's a great communal kitchen. Parking is an extra $5, and there's
absolutely no smoking anywhere on the property.
Beachside Caravan Park
( 07-4939 3738; Farnborough Rd; unpowered/powered site $25/30-34) This basic but neat little camping
ground north of the town centre commands a wonderful, totally beachfront location. It has
good amenities and grassed sites with some shade but no cabins or on-site vans. Rates are
for two people.
CARAVAN PARK $
Surfside Motel
( 07-4939 1272; 30 Anzac Pde; r $110-140; ) Across the road from the beach and close
to town, this 1950s strip of lime-green motel units epitomises summer holidays at the
beach. And it's terrific value - the rooms are spacious and unusually well equipped, com-
plete with toaster, hair dryer and free wi-fi.

Driftwood Units
( 07-4939 2446; www.driftwoodunits.com.au ; 5-7 Todd Ave; unit $120-140; ) Driftwood has huge
self-contained units at motel prices with absolute beach frontage. Great for families, or
anyone in need of a seaside slowdown. If you're too lazy to stagger a few steps to the
beach, there's a nice saltwater pool on-site.

While Away B&B
( 07-4939 5719; www.whileawaybandb.com.au ; 44 Todd Ave; s/d incl breakfast $115/140-155; ) With four
good-sized rooms and an immaculately clean house with wheelchair access, this B&B is a
perfect, quiet getaway. There are complimentary nibbles, tea, coffee, port and sherry as
well as generous breakfasts.
