My Place

and boasting sensational ocean views, My Place can't be beaten for sunset cocktails,
shared meze plates or summer alfresco dining.
Sunrise
( 07-5471 7477; 1748 David Low Way; mains $16-28; Wed-Sun 7am-9pm) A cafe that goes above
and beyond the usual snackery, with scrumptious mains including crispy-skin salmon in
chilli jam and mussels dripping with garlic and cream. The beachfront views are easy to
swallow, too.
CAFE $$
ITALIAN $$
Castro's Bar & Restaurant
( 07-5471 7555; cnr Frank St & Beach Rd; mains $19-30; 5pm-late) Not even vaguely Cuban, but
this popular spot does enjoy a FIdel-like longevity thanks to imaginative wood-fired piz-
zas and mains including salmon risotto and big-serve pasta classics.
