This splendid colonial-era timber Queenslander is a legendary stop-over on the backpack-
er trail, and well worth the clamber up its steep drive. There are three- and six-bed dorms,
doubles and a lovely wide verandah. The bar is a mix-and-meet bonanza and serves great
meals ($10 to $15). Close to the Main Beach action.

One of the Nomad
chain, this hostel has the usual trademarks: popular bar, central location and whoo-hoo at-
mosphere. You can't get less than an eight-bed dorm, but you'll be partying so hard it
won't matter. If you remember to eat, Nomads do $5 meals that aren't as hideous as you
might expect.

lovely spot on the banks of the Noosa River, this park has the closest camping facilities to
Noosa. Keep in mind that they do so love their rules and regulations here.
