the headland through Burleigh Head National Park is a must for any visitor - it's a
27-hectare rainforest reserve with plenty of bird life and several walking trails. Great
views of the Burleigh surf en route.

David Fleay Wildlife Park

child/family $19/9/48; 9am-5pm) Opened by the doctor who first succeeded in breeding platy-
puses, this wildlife park has 4km of walking tracks through mangroves and rainforest and
plenty of informative native wildlife shows throughout the day. It's around 3km inland
from Burleigh Heads.
