Journal Pages
These garden journal pages may be copied for your home use, or you can find downloadable ver-
sions online at BackyardFarmingGuide.com.
The Garden Layout provides a simple place for you to sketch the garden layout of your vegetable
garden, herb garden, or front border areas. Be sure to number or name each garden section so you
can track which plantings go where.
The Seed Starter Log helps you track which plants and varieties you tried this year, where you
purchased your seed, and how the plants performed for you. I use this page to note seedlings and
transplants that I purchase as well.
The Monthly Garden Journal gives you a place to jot down chores to do and note anything that
happened this year. Were there any pests that were particularly bad? Did you have an empty space
in your garden between spring and summer plantings that you'll want to be sure to fill next year?
Each month in the garden brings something new and exciting, so print or copy one sheet for each
month of the year.
The Notes for Next Year is for tracking the things you'll want to do differently next year.
Whoops! You should have planted those seeds a lot sooner. Next year try a drip irrigation system
and see if that cuts back on your watering bill. All the things you won't otherwise remember in
January of next year go here!
