Sai, in Chiang Rai Province, and Mae Sot, in Tak Province.
Cambodia
Cambodian tourist visas are available at most borders for US$20, though some
borders charge 1500B. Bring a passport photo and ignore the runner boys who claim that
you'll need a health certificate or other medical paperwork for additional fees.
Laos
It is fairly hassle-free to cross into Laos from crossings in northern Thailand and
northeastern Thailand. Lao visas (US$35 to US$50) can be obtained on arrival at most
borders and applications require a passport photo.
