cafe, this ecotourism outfit offers a mix of jungle adventures, river trips and two-wheeled

Sleeping & Eating
In high season (December to March) the town gets busy, so it's worth calling ahead to
book a room. If you're here for a few nights make sure one of them is spent eating at the
night market, which bursts with smoke and meat crackling on glowing braziers.

Part of the same family as
the Phou Iu II in Muang Sing, this place is cracking value. Bungalows are spacious and
nicely fitted out with lumber beds, fireplaces and inviting terraces. The garden is a work
in progress, but at this price it's a steal. It's well-signposted from the centre of town.
