Created by a dam in 1919, this banana-shaped lake was named after an anti- authoritarian
17th-century Vietnamese poet. The lake can be circumnavigated along a scenic 7km
sealed path that passes the flower gardens, golf club and Dalat Palace hotel.
Activities
Crémaillère
(Ga Da Lat; 1 Ð Quang Trung; 6.30am-5pm) The Crémaillère is a cog railway that linked
Dalat and Thap Cham-Phan Rang from 1928 to 1964. It's about 500m east of Xuan
Huong Lake. The line has now been partially repaired and is a tourist attraction. You can
ride 8km down the tracks to Trai Mat village, where you can visit the ornate Linh Phuoc
Pagoda.
There are five scheduled trains to Trai Mat (return ticket 124,000d, 30 minutes, 8km)
every day between 7.45am and 4.05pm.
