Eating
For eating options on a tight budget, cheap Vietnamese restaurants are huddled below the
market, and night market stalls south of the church serve bun cha (barbecued pork).
Vietnamese-style hotpot is a very popular local dish; try the area just south of the bus
station.
Little Sapa
MAP
(18 P Cau May; mains 50,000-80,000d; 8am-10pm) One of the better-value eateries along
touristy P Cau May, Little Sapa also lures in locals. Steer clear of the largely mediocre
European dishes and concentrate instead on the Vietnamese menu.

Sapa O'Chau
( www.sapaochau.org ; 8 Ɖ Thac Bac; snacks from 20,000d; 6.30am-6.30pm) Cosy cafe that's also
the best place to ask about trekking, homestays and volunteering opportunities with Sapa
