The broader precinct also includes the homes of the Sydney Swans Aussie rules team,
the Sydney City Roosters rugby league team and the Sydney Mardi Gras party - the his-

the Hordern Pavilion ( CLICK HERE ), respectively; try not to get them confused! The Enter-
tainment Quarter spices up the mix.

we were feeling cynical, we might say that the purpose-built Entertainment Quarter is a
vacuous, self-perpetuating specimen of lightweight global commercialism, but we'll try to
restrain ourselves. Instead, we'll just say that its palm-lined avenues, cinemas, ice rink and
weekend markets are a good distraction for the kids. Fox Studios (where The Matrix and
two Star Wars prequels were filmed) is next door.
