The glamorous jewel at the heart of Australian performance, with five
main stages: the Concert Hall (capacity 2679), Opera Theatre (1507), Drama Theatre
(544), Playhouse (398) and Studio (350 seated, 600 standing). Theatre, comedy, music,
dance and ballet are all performed here, but it's the opera that has star billing.

Opened in 2004, this is the most significant theatre built in the city
since the Sydney Opera House. The state-of-the-art facility seats 850 and is managed by
