In-Depth Information
Only 2nd-class buses to Bangkok (128B, three hours) use the bus station, which is
southwest of the traffic light at Th Thesabarn 8. Frequent 2nd-class buses and minivans to
Khorat (60B, 1½ hours) stop about 500m northeast of the deer statue near đà·làht kàak .
Minivans to Bangkok's Victory Monument (180B, 2½ hours, hourly) park near the deer
statue. You can also catch minivans (departing from Khorat) to Ayuthaya (100B, 2½
hours) and Lopburi (80B, two hours) across the street from đà·l àht kàak, if they have
empty seats when they pass through, and they usually do. Board 1st-class buses to both
Bangkok (150B, 2½ hours ) and Khorat (80B, one hour) across the highway from the deer
statue.
You can also get to Pak Chong by train from Bangkok and Khorat, but it's much faster
to go by bus or minivan. Ayuthaya, on the other hand, has no direct bus service and not
many minivans, so the train (23B to 363B, two to three hours, nine daily) can be a good
option.
