Where creature comforts meet laid-back island escape, Ko Lipe takes work to reach
but the ever-growing devotees agree that it's worth it. The days of desertion are over, espe-
cially in the high season when the island is overrun, but it is still a wonderful blend of
white-sand beaches, authentic Thai kitchens, groovy guesthouses, boutique resorts and
nature adventures in the national park. The diving and living are best here during the early
wet season (May and June). But keep that hush-hush.
