A groovy new spot
downriver from the hot springs, the best digs are stone-wall lodge rooms with fantastic
river views, grotto-like baths with hot water, and flat screens with satellite TV. The hotel
rooms offer high ceilings and an artsy flair.
Owned by a Thai architect who renovated over two years, she recently added a hip and
homey cafe here, serving Western breakfasts and simple Thai meals.

ished concrete modernism is proof of a new era in Ranong. Rooms have floating beds,
