enough to boil eggs (65°C). The riverside pools have received a recent update and are now
blessed with chequered mosaic tile. That hot concrete floor is essentially one giant heating
pad - stretch out your bad back and let the heat penetrate your gnarliest knots.

Luang Poj
is a gorgeous remodel of Ranong's first hotel: a 1920s-era building. Most rooms are win-
dowless and all share warm-water bathrooms and are decorated in a signature colour (we
