For art aficionados planning to visit the Gallerie dell'Accademia and Palazzo Grimani, consider the combined ticket
(adult/child €14/11). The combined ticket is good for three months but may not be available during special exhibitions.
A combined ticket to the Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana costs €20, for a saving of €10 on adult admission.
Venice Card
The Venice card ( 041 24 24; www.venicecard.com ; adult/junior €39.90/29.90; call centre 8am-7.30pm) is the
most extensive (and expensive) discount card for the city, with an adult card for the over-30s, and a junior version for
those aged between six and 29 years. Valid for seven days, it allows free entrance to the Palazzo Ducale, 10 civic mu-
seums, 16 Chorus churches, the Querini Stampalia Foundation and the Jewish Museum, as well as two free toilet passes.
In addition, discounted rates are offered at a number of other museums such as the Palazzo Fortuny and the Peggy Gug-
genheim Collection, as well as at shops and cafes that display the Venice card sign.
A reduced version, called the San Marco Venice card (
041 24 24; www.venicecard.com ; €24.90) , is also avail-
able, offering a more limited range of discounts and perks.
Rolling Venice Card
Visitors aged 14 to 29 years should pick up the €4 Rolling Venice card (from tourist offices and most ACTV public-
transport ticket points), entitling purchase of a 72-hour public-transit pass (€18) and discounts on museums, monuments
and cultural-event access, food, accommodation and entertainment.
