Azienda Trasporti Veneto Orientale (ATVO; 0421 59 46 71; www.atvo.it ) runs buses to the airport from
Piazzale Roma (€6, 30 minutes, every 30 minutes from 8am to midnight).
Azienda del Consorzio Trasporti Veneziano (
041 24 24; www.actv.it ) runs bus 5 between Marco Polo airport
and Piazzale Roma (€6, about one hour, four per hour).
A taxi ride to Venice's Piazzale Roma costs €30 to €40, but Alilaguna boats are likely to get you much closer to your
final destination at least as fast.
Alilaguna ( 041 240 17 01; www.alilaguna.com ; Marco Polo airport) operates four water-taxi lines that link the
airport with various parts of Venice at a cost of €15. Lines include the following:
Linea Blu (Blue Line) Stops at Lido, San Marco, Stazione Marittima and points in between.
Linea Rossa (Red Line) Stops at Murano and Lido.
Linea Arancia (Orange Line) Stops at Stazione Santa Lucia, Rialto and San Marco via the Grand Canal.
Linea Gialla (Yellow Line) Stops at Murano and Fondamento Nuovo.
WATER TAXIS
Private water taxis are available for hire in the arrivals hall at Marco Polo. They can also be booked online at dis-
counted prices through www.venicelink.com . There are options for private and shared taxis at a cost of €110 one
way for a private transfer and €32 per person in a shared taxi. Boats seat a maximum of eight people and accom-
modate up to 10 bags. Those opting for a shared taxi should be aware that the service has set drop-off points in
Venice; only private transfers will take you directly to your hotel.
TREVISO AIRPORT
Public-transport options to and from Treviso airport to Venice include the following:
Barzi Bus Service ( 0422 68 60 83; www.barziservice.com ) provides the most direct service to Piazzale Roma in
Venice (€7, 40 minutes, one to two per hour from 8am to 10.30pm). Buy tickets on the bus or at its desk in the arrivals
hall. Tickets purchased on Ryanair are not valid.
Azienda Trasporti Veneto Orientale (ATVO; 0422 31 53 81; www.atvo.it ) also offers a service to Mestre and
Piazzale Roma in Venice (€7, 70 minutes, one to two per hour from 5.30am to 11.30pm), but it takes a more circuitous
route.
ACTT ( 0422 32 71; www.actt.it ) line 6 connects Treviso airport with Treviso train station (€1.20 or €2.50 if pur-
chased on the bus, 20 minutes, two to three an hour from 6am to 10.30pm).
Taxis from Treviso airport to Venice cost upwards of €70.
Bus
Urban, regional and long-distance buses all arrive in Venice's Piazzale Roma, from where vaporetti connect with the
rest of the city. Service includes:
