ENOTECA DELLA VALPOLICELLA €€€

; Via Osan 47, Fumane; meals €25-35; noon-2.30pm & 7-10pm
Tue-Sun)
Foodies flock to the town of Fumane, just a few kilometres north of San Pietro in
Cariano, where an ancient farmhouse has been converted to a rustically elegant restaurant.
The chef keeps flavours pure - puree of asparagus, risotto with wild herbs, game with
polenta - so as not to compete with 700 Italian wines on the menu.
