With its open kitchen and four hot-shot chefs at the stations, you're
right to expect great things from the
locanda
. The menu is short and seemingly simple.
Don't be fooled: some of the dishes are genuinely revelatory, such as the mushroom
velouté
(a velvety soup made from stock, egg yolks, cream and smoked potato) in a halo of golden
olive oil, which packs such a flavour punch you'll wonder if you've ever truly tasted a
mushroom before.
