NEED TO KNOW
Advance Tickets
Shows regularly sell out in summer, so purchase tickets online at the venue website,
www.veniceconnected.com
or
www.musicinvenice.com
. Tickets may also be available at the venue box-office or from
HelloVenezia ticket
outlets
(
041 24 24;
www.hellovenezia.it
) , located near key
vaporetto
stops and ACTV public- transport
ticket points.
Business Hours
Event start times vary, with doors at evening concerts typically opening from 7pm to 8.30pm. Due to noise regu-
lations in this small city with big echoes, live- music venues are limited, and shows typically end by 11pm.
Music Calendar
For schedules of upcoming performances, Venetian discographies and online ticket sales, see
www.musicinvenice.com
.
For upcoming openings, concerts, performances and other cultural events, check list-
ings at
www.veneziadavivere.com
(mostly in Italian) and
www.turismovenezia.it
(in Italian, English and Ger-
man).
Cover
Entry is often free at bars, but the cover runs from €10 to €25 for shows in established venues; pay in advance or
at the door.
Free Shows
In summer, don't miss Venice Jazz Festival outdoor events, plus free beach concerts on the Lido and on Lido di
Jesolo. Year-round in good weather, you might luck into outdoor happy-hour shows around Campo San Giacomo
dell'Orio and Fondamenta degli Ormesini.
