City Red Bus

Festivals & Events
Bologna has an eclectic events calendar, mainly centred on music. Performances - or in
rock-and-roll parlance, 'gigs' - range from street raves to jazz concerts, ballet perform-
ances and religious processions. Summer is generally the best time.
Bologna Estate
( www.bolognaestate.it ) A three-month (mid-June to mid-September) program of concerts,
film projections, dance performances and much more. Held in open-air venues throughout
the city, many events are free. Tourist offices have details.
