BUS
National and international buses depart from Lampugnano bus station (Via Giulia Natta) (next
to the Lampugnano metro stop), 5km west of central Milan. The main national operator is
Autostradale ( Click here ). Tickets can be purchased at the main tourist office.
CAR & MOTORCYCLE
The A1, A4, A7 and A8 converge from all directions on Milan.
TRAIN
International, high-speed trains from France, Switzerland and Germany arrive in Milan's
Stazione Centrale (Piazza Duca d'Aosta) . The ticketing office and left luggage are located on
the ground floor and the tourist information booth ( Click here ) is opposite platform 13.
For regional trips, skip the queue and buy your tickets from the multilingual, touch-screen
vending machines, which accept both cash and credit card. Daily international and long-
distance destinations include:
Florence (€19 to €50, 1½ to 3½ hours, hourly)
Geneva (€78, four hours, three daily)
Munich (€99 to €130, 7½ to 8½ hours, seven daily) via Verona, Bologna or Venice
