hostel fodder, go to the opposite end of the spectrum and book a room in the four-star
beachfront Mare with its infinty pool and classy restaurant. It's 2km west of the station -
regular buses run there.

Trains run along the coast to Genoa's Stazione Brignole (€3.40, 45 minutes, almost
hourly) and San Remo (€8, 1¾ hours, eight daily).
Corsica Ferries

runs up to three boats daily between Savona's Porto
Vado and Corsica.
