ing 15th-century palazzo dominates Piazza del Plebiscito, the elegant Renaissance square
that has long been Viterbo's political and social hub. Now home to the town council, it's
worth a quick look inside for the 16th-century frescoes that colourfully depict Viterbo's
ancient origins. Outside, the elegant courtyard and fountain were added two centuries
after the palazzo was built in 1460.
