always packed, with crowds spilling onto the street. As well as a tasty choice of wines, it
sells the damn fine Menabrea beer, brewed in northern Italy. You can also tuck into a
heart-warming array of cheeses, salami and dishes such as
polpette al sugo

with sauce).

This cafe has a funky laid-back
vibe, with its mismatched vintage furniture, fairylights in jam jars and personable bar
staff. It's the kind of place you might find in Shoreditch in London or the Marais in Paris,
but what's uniquely Italian is the coffee and delicious little extras such as lavender-scen-
ted More Bianche biscuits.

tage sofas and chairs, and cushions on the floor, this slightly grungy place has the look of
a chill-out room in a gone-to-seed mansion, and is full of lounging San Lorenzo dudes
drinking mean mojitos. Fun.
