do everything they can to improve foreign relations, plying tourists with tasty plates of
traditional Sicilian fare and good seafood. Order an octopus and it arrives so fresh it feels
as if it's staring you in the eyes. Try to get a table on the small outdoor terrace, which has
splendid views.

among young agrigentini, this trendy spot just off Via Atenea bills itself as an 'Outfit,
Restaurant, Bar', but it does 'bar' best, with good, themed aperitivi and late-night cock-
tails. There's a nice-looking restaurant upstairs and a fixed-menu lunch (€10), although
food is only average.

Teatro Pirandello

is Sicily's third largest, after Palermo's Teatro Massimo and Catania's Teatro Massimo
Bellini. Works by local hero Luigi Pirandello figure prominently in the program, which
