(Via Sant'Angelo; 9am-5pm daily) Further north along Corso Garibaldi, Via del Tempio
branches off to one of Italy's oldest churches, the Romanesque Chiesa di Sant'Angelo,
parts of which date back to the 5th century. It stands on the foundations of an even older
Roman temple.

Sant'Angelo, the city's largest medieval gateway, this museum whisks you through the
history of the city's defences. Even more engrossing are the sweeping views of Perugia
from this vantage point.
