Beware the trollies at this fabulous local eatery! Heavily laden with
the huge joints of roasted meat that the place is famous for (roast pork, beef stewed in
Chianti Classico and roasted veal shank), these zoom around the old-fashioned dining
room pushed by waiters intent on piling diners' plates high.
Vegetarians have no need to fear - the
uova con tartufo marzolino fresco
(omelette
topped with shaved black truffles) is delectable, as are the generous plates of home-made
pasta served with truffles or fresh porcini mushrooms, the
antipasti
spread and the tasty

The interior of the town's best-loved cafe has hardly changed over the decades. We
love the fact that staff close the doors for three hours so that they can go home for lunch
