Owner
Franca has a bubbly personality and is remarkably helpful (she even picks guests up from
the railway station). Located centimetres from Piazza Grande, her B&B has nine simple
rooms; some have kitchenettes and views of the square, and most suffer from a lack of
noise insulation. Breakfast is brought to each room at a pre-agreed time.

Gorgeous is the only word to use when
describing this 19th-century villa 30 minutes southwest of Arezzo. Restored, decorated
and run by three charming friends (one an architect, one a landscape designer and one a
former international banker), it perfectly balances traditional Tuscan elegance with jet-set
pizzazz. Two-night minimum stay.

chefs who delight Arentini with their exquisite sweet creations. Enter through the covered
courtyard off Corso Italia and you'll discover a super-stylish cafe with indoor and outdoor
seating, friendly staff and glass display cases filled with cakes, pastries, biscuits and
