Tours
The tourist office takes advance bookings for a range of guided English-language tours.
These include a Vernaccia di San Gimignano Vineyard Visit (€20; 5-7pm Tue & Thu Apr-Oct)
that includes tastings of local foods and wines. Also on offer are nature walks (€15 to €22)
through the hills surrounding San Gimignano, along a 6km stretch of the Via Francigena,
and through Riserva Naturale di Castelvecchio, southwest of town.
Festivals & Events
San Gimignano Estate
( www.sangimignano.com ) Includes performances of opera in Piazza del Duomo, films in the
rocca, concerts, theatre and dance. Held between June and September.
ARTS
Ferie delle Messi
Held in June (usually the third weekend), this pageant evokes the town's medieval past
through re-enacted battles, archery contests and plays.

Festival Barocco di San Gimignano
A season of baroque music concerts in September and early October.
