Located 26km south of Florence, Greve is the main town in the Chianti Fiorentino. As
well as being the hub of the local wine industry, it is home to the enthusiastic and entre-
preneurial Falorni family, who operate the town's two main tourist attractions.
Greve's annual wine fair is held in the first or second week of September - make sure
that you book accommodation well in advance if you plan to visit at this time.
Sights & Activities
Museo del Vino
(Museum of Wine; www.museovino.it ; Piazza Nino Tirinnanzi 10; hrs vary) Opened in 2010, this
privately established and operated museum is a labour of love by Lorenzo and Stefano
Falorni, who have spent over 40 years documenting the history of the local wine industry
and adding to their father's collection of artefacts and materials associated with it. An au-
dioguide provides a fascinating narrative, as does an interview-based audiovisual present-
ation.
