In the tests just shown, I can report no communication back to “HQ” during patch preparation, which is good.
Perhaps I should be less paranoid, but that is my job. As previously mentioned, your firewall should not allow this
type of egress communication anyway, but it is good to be thorough. Checking that EM is secure is doubly important
because it now represents a single point of control for the whole estate. Therefore the focus of our Oracle security
work should be on the Enterprise Manager installation. That is the subject of the next chapter.
