Internet Access
Many hotels have wi-fi (often free), and it's available at lots of cafes and public spaces.
Most hotspots, like those provided by Swisscom ( 080 080 08 00; www.swisscom-mobile.ch ) ,
levy a charge - usually around Sfr5 for 30 minutes access over seven days to Sfr125 for
150 hours access over 31 days, payable by credit card or prepaid card sold at Swisscom's
1350 hot spots; locate them with its online hot-spot locator.
Internet cafes can be found in larger towns and cities, but are practically non-existent in
small towns and remote areas. Prices range from Sfr5 to Sfr15 per hour.
Public wireless access points can be found at major airports, at 35-odd Swiss train sta-
tions and airports, and in 1st-class train carriages on certain routes.
