Hours are given for high season (April through October) and tend to decrease in low sea-
son.
Banks 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, usually with late opening hours one day a
week.
Offices 8am to noon, 2pm to 5pm Monday to Friday
Restaurants Noon to 2pm, 6pm to 10pm
Shops 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday (sometimes with a one- to two-hour break for lunch
at noon in small towns), 9am to 6pm Saturday. In cities, there's often shopping until 9pm
on Thursday or Friday. Sunday sees some souvenir shops and supermarkets at some train
stations open.
