Winter Activities
With 350km of slopes, ultramodern lifts and spirit-soaring views, skiing in St Moritz is
second to none, especially for confident intermediates. For groomed slopes with big
mountain vistas, head to
Corviglia
(2486m), accessible by funicular from Dorf. From Bad
a cable car goes to
Signal
(shorter queues), giving access to the slopes of Piz Nair. There's
varied skiing at
Corvatsch
(3303m), above nearby Silvaplana, including spectacular gla-
cier descents and the gentle black run Hahnensee. Silhouetted by glaciated four-thou-
sanders,
Diavolezza
(2978m) is a must-ski for freeriders and fans of jaw-dropping des-
cents. A general ski pass that covers all the slopes, including Silvaplana, Sils-Maria, Cel-
erina, Zuoz, Pontresina and Diavolezza, costs Sfr410/137 for adults/children for seven

Summer Activities
In summer, get out and stride one of the region's excellent hiking trails, such as the Cor-
vatsch
Wasserweg
(water trail) linking six mountain lakes. Soaring above St Moritz,
Piz
Nair
(3057m) commands views of the jewel-coloured lakes that necklace the valley be-
low.
