ZÜRI-WEST
Q ZÜRICH
(
www.qzurich.ch
;
Förrlibuckstrasse 151; 11pm-late Fri & Sat, 5-10pm Sun)
This car-park club is
for those who take their dancing - to house, hip hop, mash up, electro and R&B - more
seriously than seeing and being seen. The closing times are less radical than in days of
yore, but the crowd remains as enthusiastic as ever. For pre-clubbing drinks and a dip, try
the nearby City Beach.

CLUB KOMPLEX 457
(
www.komplex457.ch
;
Hohlstrasse 457; 8pm-late Wed-Sun)
The latest addition to Zürich's busy
club circuit is also the scene of occasional live concerts, generally of a powerful rock vari-
ety. DJs spin all sorts, with techno taking pride of place. In summer, you can come along
early (from 5pm) for a drink on the upstairs terrace (also open lunchtime when the weath-
er is nice). Take bus 31 from Hauptbahnhof.

;
Pelikanstrasse 18; 11pm-late Tue-Sun)
An opulent art-deco theatre with a
stage, mezzanine floor and bars arranged around the dance floor, Zürich's 'establishment'
club plays house, hip hop and Latin rhythms to a slightly older crowd.

MASCOTTE
(
www.mascotte.ch
;
Theaterstrasse 10; 9.30pm-late Mon, Wed & Fri-Sun)
The old variety hall
'Corso' is now a popular club with huge windows facing Sechseläutenplatz and the lake.
The Monday night session, with funk, soul and dancefloor jazz, is a mellow way to start
the week.
