Borrow a bike from one of the three kiosks of Bernrollt ( www.bernrollt.ch ; 1st 4hr free, then
Sfr1 per hr; 7.30am-9.30pm May-Oct) , located at the train station, on Zeughausgasse and
just off Bubenbergplatz on Hirschengraben.
Bus, Tram & Funicular
Get around on foot or hop on a bus or tram run by Bern Mobil ( www.bernmobil.ch , in Ger-
man; Bubenbergplatz 17; 8am-6pm Mon-Fri). Tickets, available from the Bern Mobil office or
ticket machines at stops, cost Sfr2.20 for journeys up to six stops (valid 30 minutes) or
Sfr4 for a single journey within zones 1 and 2 (valid one hour).
The Stadt Bern-Drahtseilbahn Marzili funicular (one way Sfr1.20; 6.15am-9pm) runs
from behind the parliament building downhill to the riverside Marzili quarter.
