Getting There & Away
Boat
CGN ( 0848 811 848; www.cgn.ch ; Quai JP Delamuraz 17) runs passenger boats (no car fer-
ries) from Ouchy to destinations around Lake Geneva. To hop and off as you please, buy a
one-day pass (Sfr60) covering unlimited lake travel.
Train
You can travel by train to and from the following:
Geneva (Sfr28, 30 to 50 minutes, up to six hourly)
Geneva Airport (Sfr25, 50 minutes, up to four hourly).
Bern (Sfr31, 70 minutes, one or two an hour)
Getting Around
Bicycle
Pick up a bike to pedal around town from Lausanne Roule ( www.lausanneroule.ch ; Place de
l'Europe 1b; 4/24hr free/Sfr6;
8am-6pm) , under the arches of the Grand Pont.
Car & Motorcycle
Parking in central Lausanne is a headache. In blue zones you can park for free (one-hour
limit) with a time disk. Most white zones are meter parking.
