in the 11th century, Geneva's lovely cathedral is mainly Gothic with an 18th-century neo-
classical facade. Between 1536 and 1564 Protestant John Calvin preached both here - see
his seat in the north aisle - and in the Gothic Auditoire de Calvin (Cour St-Pierre; admission
free; 10am-noon & 2-4pm Mon-Sat) neighbouring the cathedral. In summer free organ and
