The cathedral ( Click here ) of Lausanne is a masterpiece of early Gothic style: do not
miss the painted portal dated 1235 and its impressive polychromatic sculptures, the
rose window with its medieval symbolism, the new organ (2002) and its fantastic
design. On certain Friday evenings, you may attend a concert.
2 CENTRE & MARKET
From the cathedral, a lovely walk down 174 stairs leads you to Place de la Palud (

Local products like cheese, charcuterie, pastries, and seasonal fruits and vegetables
show that the Lausanne people love their market!
